County to open permanent mixed recycling drop-off sites

The Board of Wood County Commissioners has announced the start date for the Permanent Mixed Recycling 24/7 Drop-off Locations as June 25. The new permanent sites will allow residents of Wood County to recycle at their convenience. There are many more materials (specifically plastics #1-7 for food and beverage containers) that can be recycled and no sorting is required. The service provider for the collection/hauling and processing of the recyclable materials is Republic Services of Toledo.

Residents are asked to follow established guidelines for recycling so that all materials will be clean and not contaminated as they are processed. No plastic bags or garbage is to be placed at these locations. All containers should be empty and rinsed. Report any illegal dumping to our office at (419) 354-9297.
