CSX Railroad has notified the city of scheduled rail crossing work which will impact traffic on numerous streets. This work is scheduled to begin on July 9 at the East Poe Road rail crossing. The tentative plan is for CSX to conduct the improvements at the following crossing locations – East Poe Road, Ridge Street, Court Street, Lehman Avenue, and Napoleon Road.
While CSX crews are at the respective locations, that crossing will be closed to traffic. It is anticipated that each crossing will take up to three days to complete the work. CSX has indicated that depending on work, multiple crossings may be under construction at a time.
