David L. Richardson, 80, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Friday September 2, 2022. He was born on January 28, 1942 to Alvin and Grace (Stinehart) Richardson. He married Elizabeth Charlene (Belleville) on December 9, 1967 and she survives.
David served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Bowling Green First Baptist Church. David found great joy gardening and “making something out of junk.” He leaves behind his beloved dog, Coco, and cat, Tigger.
Along with his wife of 54 years, Charlene, he is survived by his son Rex (Christina) Richardson and four grandchildren Haley, Sydney, Kenzie, and Owen. He is also survived by his sisters Ruth and Mary Richardson.
David was preceded in death by his son Matthew Richardson in 2015. Also preceding him in death were his brothers Lowell “Gene” and Duane Richardson, and sister Linda Hodges.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday September 15, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Bowling Green, at 749 S. Wintergarden Road. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at noon. Pastor Tom Mullins will officiate. Interment will follow at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery.
Funeral services have been entrusted with Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street.
