A fire this evening at the Wood County Landfill, west of Bowling Green, has been extinguished, according to Wood County Administrator Carri Stanley.
Firefighters from Milton Township, Washington Township and Weston Township fire departments, as well as several landfill personnel responded to the fire. The only damage was to a corner of the cover tarp, Stanley said.
