Gary F Stratmann

Gary F. Stratmann, 65, a lifelong resident of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.   

Gary was born on August 3, 1950 in Bowling Green, to the late Henry and B. Hazel (Stickel) Stratman. He married Sharon N. Kellermeier on July 9, 1971 in the St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, Ohio and she survives him in Bowling Green.

 Gary was the owner of Henry Stratman & Son General Contractors. He was a 1968 graduate of Bowling Green High School and earned his associates degree in drafting from the University of Toledo. Gary was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and the Northwestern Ohio Pulmonary Hypertension Support Group.

 Gary’s work as a general contractor was his true passion in life, he enjoyed his career very much. He also enjoyed boating, watching NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Green Bay Packers. Among all this, Gary’s family was his true pride and joy and he loved going on family vacations to Higgins Lake, Michigan.

 Along with his loving wife Sharon, Gary is survived by his daughters: Melissa Stratmann, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Rebecca (Michael) Meuche, of Cincinnati, Ohio; a son: Mark (Beth) Stratmann, of Bowling Green, Ohio; a brother: John (Pat) Stratman, of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren: Sara and Alex Meuche, of Cincinnati, Ohio and a brother-in-law: Mike Belleville, of Bowling Green, Ohio. Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in in death by a sister Nancy Belleville.

Visitation for Gary will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402. Gary’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 8:00 AM in the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Rob Spicer Officiating, 315 South College Drive, Bowling Green, Ohio. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ohio.
