Gibsonburg man arrested for threatening man with a knife

Bowling Green Police arrested a man for threatening another man with a knife Tuesday around 3 a.m.

Scott Dodd Jr., 22, of Gibsonburg, was arrested for aggravated menacing and taken to Wood County Jail.

A man reported being threatened in the 100 block of South Enterprise Street. Based on the description given, police located Dodd a few blocks away in Ridge Park. Dodd reportedly told police he had purchased a drug he thought was Xanax from a friend, but it turned out to be Advil. He reportedly admitted to pointing the knife and threatening the man.

An officer reportedly saw Dodd throw something down by the rock-climbing wall in the park as the officer approached. It was found to be a pocket knife.
