Hospital hosts wine & cheese informational event on breast cancer

One in 8 women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Wood County Hospital would like to reduce those odds for the women of Wood County through education, prevention, and early detection. The hospital is hosting its third annual Ladies’ Night Out: Wine, Cheese & Finally Me, on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 5-7 p.m.

The event is designed to be a free and fun event stressing the importance of taking time to focus on their health and will highlight many important aspects of women’s health.

The event will offer free wine, appetizers, screenings, a tour of the women’s center, giveaways and chair massages. There will be tables and games, important takeaways, information and facts on trending women’s health topics.

Each attendee will have a chance to be entered to win a $100 spa gift card and the first 250 to register will receive a swag bag with goodies. The event will be in the Wood County Hospital surgery waiting area.
