Intersection of Eberly and West Wooster to be closed for water and sewer improvements

Utility upgrades on West Wooster Street are completed.

Work continues to progress on the West Wooster Street – Haskins Road water and sewer improvement project in Bowling Green. As a result of this work, beginning Wednesday, July 5, the intersection of Eberly Avenue and West Wooster Street will be closed during work hours and all eastbound traffic on West Wooster will be detoured to Haskins Road. This closure is expected to last through Friday, July 7.

The contractor has completed 100% of the waterline upgrades and 75% of the sewer line replacement portion of this project. Concrete replacement/repairs of curbs, driveway approaches, and sidewalks have begun.

As work continues to progress, intermittent lane restrictions and closures along West Wooster Street and Haskins Road can be expected and restrictions at intersections may be necessary.

Current estimates indicate the water and sewer project will be completed in August. Upon completion of the water and sewer project, a separate contractor will complete a full-width milling and paving project along West Wooster Street and Haskins Road.

This schedule is dependent upon weather and progress of work.
