Karen Snyder

Karen K. Snyder, age 75, of Luckey, OH passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community, Pemberville, OH. She was born on November 26, 1940 in Toledo, OH to Roger and LaVerne (Jacobs) Phillips. Karen was a wonderful homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her memberships included: Zion United Methodist Church, Luckey Couples, Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary Unit #240 and honorary member of the Troy Twp. Auxiliary Troyettes all of Luckey. In her spare time she volunteered at the Luckey Food Pantry, Luckey Library, Luckey Historical Society and the VA Clinic. 
Karen is survived by sons: Curt (Fran) Alexander of Perrysburg, Todd (Stefanie) Gottschalk of Luckey, daughters: Kim (Michael) Bateson of Portage, Teresa (Andy Long) Alexander of Bowling Green, Amy (Joe) Morelock of Gibsonburg, Beth (Gary) Loomis of Luckey, grandchildren: Michael (Tonya) Lentz, Nick Boltz, Ashley Boltz, Luke Boltz, Alexandria Morelock, Joey Morelock, Spencer Morelock, Adam (Stacey) Loomis, Aaron Loomis and Daniel Gottschalk, great grandchildren: Tayte, Mason, Kade, Dylan, Jaxson, Beckett, Addison and Brooke and several step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands: Thomas Alexander, Wilbur “Andy” Gottschalk and Mervin Snyder and granddaughter: Michelle Descant.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 2-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11 AM from Zion United Methodist Church, Luckey with additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Lyle Shiffert. Burial will take place in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the Troy-Webster American Legion Post #240 immediately following the cemetery committal services. Consideration for memorial contributions can be made to: Zion United Methodist Church or Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary Unit #240.
