North Baltimore Council to hear legislation on sale of village property and adopting blight control measures

North Baltimore Village Council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., with two new pieces of legislation on the agenda.

Council will hear the first reading of a resolution accepting the bid of HPJ Industries Inc. to purchase a parcel of land on Walnut Street currently owned by the Village of North Baltimore. The company offered the sole bid for the property of $13,601. The resolution suggests that council declare an emergency so it can be acted on quickly.

Council will also hear the first reading of an ordinance creating and adopting blight control regulations in the village. The ordinance will establish minimum standards governing exterior maintenance, condition and appearances of structures.
