(Submitted by Pemberville-Freedom Area Historical Society)

The Pemberville-Freedom Area Historical Society is inviting clubs, organizations, youth groups, schools, musicians, businesses and the like to participate in Pemberville’s seventh annual Lighted Christmas Parade. The village is thrilled about this upcoming community event to be held on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Pemberville.

Registration can be done in advance at Beeker’s General Store or the day of the parade at the Pemberville Public Library beginning at 4 p.m.

The registration headquarters will be at Pemberville Public Library from 4 to 6 p.m. The parade begins at the library on Front Street and travels through town to the final destination of the Pemberville Town Hall. This year’s parade will conclude with a tree lighting ceremony at Mason Park, Pemberville.

Line-up will be on Memorial Drive, next to the Pemberville American Legion Hall, from 4 to 6 p.m. Enter the staging bay on Memorial Drive from the north.

Walking units, bands, organizations, and vehicles are welcome to participate. Please consider decorating units for the season with twinkling lights. A parade announcer will be located in the downtown area and will introduce each unit and speak to their involvement.

The parade is the finale to Pemberville’s Christmas in the Village festivities. There will be the annual Festival of Trees, Santa Claus Meet and Greet, Horse and Carriage Rides, and so much more.

Consider coming to Pemberville early to check out the sights and sounds of the season. All of the shops and eateries will be open before and after the parade.
