Portage Lions Club to hold benefit night at McDonald’s to benefit service projects

The Portage Lions Club will be having a benefit night at McDonalds, 1050 S. Main St., Bowling Green, on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 4-7 p.m. All the earnings from this benefit will be used toward the organization’s service projects.

Locally, the Portage Lions Club donates money to the food pantry in Portage, the Wood County Historical Museum, 1BookBG, the July 4 parade sponsorship in Portage, and Cherry Street Missions in Toledo. Other donations go toward diabetes research, pediatric cancer research, Camp Echoing Hills in Walhonding, Ohio, Pilot Dogs and many other vision research projects.
