Shelly Marie Householder

Shelly Marie Householder, 63 of Monclova, OH went to be with her Lord on January 10, 2024 at Alive Hospice Nashville after a sudden onset of brain cancer. She was at peace surrounded by her loving husband, family and friends.

Shelly was born on July 13, 1960 in Bowling Green, OH. She graduated from BGSU with a bachelor degree in social work. Shelly truly had a servant’s heart. She spent her entire career working for a few counties throughout Northwest Ohio as a Social worker, serving those that couldn’t do for themselves. She was an advocate for the underdog and a champion for those who needed it.

Shelly lived for family and adored her grandchildren! Family was her world! She understood the importance of taking the time to visit, connect and tell others that they are loved. She loved adventure, visiting family and friends, and sharing her joy. She always had a beautiful smile for anyone that crossed her path.

Shelly is survived by her husband: Gary Hillier; daughter Tonia (Jim) McDermott; sons: Troy Swanson; Aaron Hillier; brothers: Roger Householder, Jim (Trevia) Householder and her many amazing grandchildren and special friends. She was preceded in death by mother, Harriet (Rupp) Householder; father, Arden P. Householder, and sister, Diane Householder.

She was a special blessing and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
