Special Olympics to hold annual prime rib and crab fest

Community members are invited to the Wood County Special Olympics’ 20th Annual Prime Rib and Crab Fest on Saturday, Nov. 4. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. at Graystone Banquet Hall in Perrysburg (29101 Hufford Road) with social hour beginning at 6 p.m. and a silent auction until 8 p.m.
The dinner includes the choice of all-you- can-eat prime rib or crab legs, appetizers, salad bar, potato, vegetable, roll and beverage. In addition, attendees can bid on more than 100 items donated for the event’s silent and live auction.

Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at the Wood Lane School office (1921 East Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green). The office is open Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Wood County Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition in athletics (track & field), basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, golf, softball, swimming, and volleyball.

Over 450 youth and adults participate in one or more sports in Wood County. Athletes must be 6 years of age or older, meet Special Olympics International eligibility requirements, be enrolled in an eligible special education program in their home school district or through Wood Lane. Adults involved in Special Olympics receive services through Wood Lane. The program is operated by Wood Lane (Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities).
