Thomas A Urhammer

Thomas A. Urhammer, 35, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Friday December 16, 2016. He was born on December 12, 1981 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Todd Urhammer and Lori Hanway.

Thomas had a heart of gold. He was a kind and gentle soul with a loving heart, always selfless in his output, always putting others’ needs above his own. Thomas graduated from Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio where he played and excelled in the sport of hockey. He was a jack-of-all-trades with special talents in woodworking, carpentry, painting and home renovating. Thomas was a free hand artist and was very talented in the art of drawing. He was a phenomenal cook and loved his family and time spent with them dearly. His greatest passion in life was his son Andrew. He loved spending time with Andrew and his step-daughters Madelynn and Mckayla and playing with them and every chance he got.

He is survived by his parents Todd Urhammer of Groveport, Ohio, Lori Hanway of Bowling Green, Ohio, his son Thomas Andrew Jr. of Delaware, Ohio, brothers Ryan Borders of Bowling Green, Ohio and Brandon Urhammer of Pickerington, Ohio, sister Emma Urhammer of Sunbury, Ohio,  paternal grandmother Marjorie Urhammer of Bowling Green, Ohio, maternal grandmother Anna Hanway of Bowling Green, Ohio, step-daughters Madelynn Funk and Mckayla Funk and their mother Megen Funk of Delaware, Ohio, aunts and uncles Shelly (Joe) Sharp, Billy Hanway, Kathy (Phil) Kordes, Jeanne (Darren) Hanway-Vanwinkle and Holli (Bob) Crom godfather Tony Panzella of Millford, Connecticut and several nieces, nephews  and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Evan Urhammmer and William Hanway.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St.

Memorial contributions may be given to Huntington Bank to assist with funeral expenses. Anything exceeding the funeral expenses will be put into a College Fund for his son Andrew.
