GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will hold its 2019-2020 Kickoff Dinner on Sept 4, with a 100th Year Anniversary Celebration beginning at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church, corner of Haskins and Poe roads.

Members are turning back the clock to the 1920s and 1930s with an invitation to dress in fashions from those decades. A potluck dinner with members A-H bringing a salad or side dish, J-M an entrée, and N-Z a dessert will be provided. Family dishes from those decades will be especially featured.

A program of presentations highlighting activities of the club during 1920s and 1930s will be featured and conclude with entertainment from a barbershop quartet.

Committee chairs will provide displays with information about volunteer activities of their community service area. President Susan Enright will conduct a short business meeting, which will conclude with members’ recitation of the Club Collect.

Hostesses Sharon Franklin and Debbie LeGalley encourage members to invite and bring a friend who may be interested in learning about the opportunities that the Women’s Club provides for service to our community and beyond. Please call LeGalley at 419-806-4059 to indicate guests attending.
