As a thank you to Bowling Green State University for partnering with the 1BookBG program this year, the annual community book read organizers donated a chinkapin oak tree to the university.
BGSU’s College of Education & Human Development, through the generous support of the Joseph and Judith Conda Family, purchased the books for all of the Bowling Green elementary school families in grades 1-5. More than 1,000 books were purchased for the students.
The tree was planted on campus, and 1BookBG organizers and students attended a dedication on Tuesday.
