Willow, a laid-back pittie, waiting at Wood County Dog Shelter for a new home

Meet Willow, a 3-year-old spayed female pittie, that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray in early March.

The shelter staff was able to get in contact with her former owner who is having medical issues and thought it would be in Willow’s best interest to find a new home.

Willow is laid back, loves cuddling, and walks great on a leash.

“She spends the day in my office and will let you know when she has to go potty,” Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “She loves to sleep the day away on her dog bed after a fun round of fetch in the dog park. She keeps her kennel clean from the time the staff leaves in the evening to when we get back in the morning.”

Willow is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her da2pp and Bordetella vaccines.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
