George has been at the Wood County Dog Shelter for four months now and would love nothing more than his own forever home, according to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
“He loves to play ball, loves to go for walks, and loves every person he meets. He loves to have all the attention to himself, so would need to be the only pet in the home. He can walk with other dogs, but would not do well living with another dog,” Harding said.
“He loves to visit the BG fire department, and makes himself right at home with the firefighters. He loves to spend the days in my office and will get the zoomies when he is ready to play,” she said.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
