Two new firefighters – Juston Mortor and Landon Eberle – were sworn in by Bowling Green Mayor Mike Aspacher during the City Council meeting on Monday evening.
Fire Chief Bill Moorman talked about the one-year probationary period that the two firefighters just completed, a time full of effort, studying and sacrifice.
With the common goal of serving citizens, Moorman said the sacrifices have just begun. There will be long hours, missed birthdays and missed Christmases. But the chief also pointed out the firefighters standing in the back of the council chambers. They are the extension of the families for the new members of the fire division, and will be there when needed, Moorman said.
