BG Parks and Recreation to offer native plant yard tours

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to participate in the native plant yard tours, where two Bowling Green homeowners will be sharing the perks of their native yards. Participants can see how these native plant enthusiasts have incorporated biodiversity into their landscapes for aesthetics and to support the local ecosystem in small spaces.

The tours will take place Saturday, July 19, between 9 a.m. and noon. The locations and parking instructions for this event will be shared after registration.

The community is invited to see plants in action that support pollinators, migratory birds, and more by providing a welcoming ecosystem. The tours are drop-in style, between the two locations and are free to attend. To ensure a comfortable experience, attendees are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for walking on grass.
