From WOOD COUNTY DOG SHELTER
Meet Roxie, a 3-year-old pit bull mix that was surrendered to the Wood County Dog Shelter, because her owners no longer had time for her. She is an energetic girl that is looking for the same in her forever family. Roxie loves to play fetch and will run in the dog park all day, if allowed. She can be a little picky with other dogs, so it is recommended to introduce her to any dog she may be going home with. Roxie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines, if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
