Ellia Rose West, 23, of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 14, 2025. She was born August 19, 2002 in Upland, California to Aaron F. and Christel (Gust) West.
Ellia was a fiercely independent woman, a survivor of childhood cancer and a teenage heart transplant, that loved to share her kindness with everyone in a non-judgmental spirit of acceptance. Ellia was a homeowner at 22 and loved improving her home while working at Biaggi’s in Perrysburg. She excelled at baking and cooking, as she was something of a foodie. She enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts, dance, playing video games, and traveling to visit her friends. She had a passion for animals, rescuing many cats and dogs. She considered all her fur babies to be family.
She is survived by her parents Aaron and Christel West of Bowling Green, Ohio, siblings Alexander (Shelby) West of Denver, Colorado, Loren West (Evan Hayes) of Toledo, Ohio and Bridget West of Bowling Green, Ohio, Grandmother Madeline (Victor) West of Riverside, California, aunts and uncles Mandy (Nate) Sutter, Ursula (Doug) Falle, Anne (Doug) Fitzgerald, Ruth (James) Daily and Herb (Vanessa) Gust as well as numerous cousins.
Ellia was preceded in death by her grandparents Helmut and Minnie Gust.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to an animal rescue of the donor’s choice.
