Mary E. Kennedy, 88, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away November 10, 2025. She was born December 17, 1936 in Bowling Green to the late Ernest and Katherine (Finch) Bobel. She married Merle “Mike” Kennedy and he preceded her in death.
Mary was a graduate of Haskins High School. She worked at Huntington Bank/Bank of Wood County for 20 years and then worked as an account clerk for the Wood County Department of Human Services for 18 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed bowling and going to lunch wither friends and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sons Shawn (Lisa) Kennedy and Kevin (Lisa) Kennedy, brother Ernest Bobel Jr. (Patricia), grandchildren Mitchell Kennedy, Paige Hoffman, Max (Lyndsey) Kennedy, Maeve Kennedy and Aidan Kennedy and great-grandchildren Sullivan, Sebastian and Athena.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mike and sister Jessie Barcus.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her service at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
