Live Arts Toledo to present Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass & Other Delights

From LIVE ARTS TOLEDO

This year, 2025, is a milestone year for Herb Alpert. He turned 90 on March 31, celebrated the 60th anniversary of his classic album “Whipped Cream & Other Delights,” and celebrated 50 years of marriage with his wife, Lani Hall. In response to fan enthusiasm, Alpert will, for the first time in over 35 years, return to the stage throughout 2025-26 with an all-new Tijuana Brass in a celebratory concert tour.

Live Arts Toledo is proud to announce an evening of music and memories with Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass & Other Delights, coming to the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle Theater on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 8 p.m.

This one-night-only performance will feature Alpert and his new Tijuana Brass band, performing unforgettable hits, including “Ladyfingers,” “Spanish Flea,” “Tijuana Taxi,” “This Guy’s In Love With You,” and “The Lonely Bull.”

A nine-time Grammy® award-winner and co-founder of A&M Records, Alpert has sold over 72 million records worldwide. With a catalog that once outsold The Beatles two to one, his music is a part of American pop culture.

More than a concert, this 90-minute event is an immersive experience, complete with a multimedia display of vintage photos, classic videos, and rare memorabilia from Alpert’s storied career. The show is informal and intimate, with Alpert sharing stories and answering audience questions about his music, A&M Records, and collaborations with artists like The Carpenters, Sergio Mendes, and Burt Bacharach.

Kindly note that neither the Toledo Symphony nor the Toledo Jazz Orchestra will perform on this program.
