From BOWLING GREEN HIGH SCHOOL
The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School have announced that Rebekah Center is the December 2025 “Student of the Month.” She is a senior at Bowling Green High School and will graduate on May 24, 2026. She is the daughter of Angela and Joseph Center.
Rebekah’s school honors and activities include membership in the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, and recognition as an AP scholar. She is also the recipient of the College Board Rural and Small Town Recognition Award. Rebekah is also a member of the BGHS Chamber Orchestra. She has represented BGHS as a health director at Buckeye Girls State.
Outside of school, Rebekah has served as a camp counselor for three years at the LDS Girls Youth Camp, helping plan and lead week-long programs for girls ages 11 – 14. She has also spent three years on her church’s regional youth committee, two years as a member and one year as head of the council, organizing monthly activities for 50 – 150 teenagers. In her local youth group, she has held leadership positions as president, secretary, and counselor.
Rebekah is also an accomplished ballet dancer. She previously danced in the pre-professional program at the Black Swamp Fine Arts School, performing in productions such as “Peter and the Wolf,” “The Planets Suite,” “Maire in Paris,” and “Masha and the Nutcracker,” She now dances with the Toledo Ballet at levels 6-7. Her performances include the Arts in Motion Gala, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” and the Toledo Ballet Guild’s Tea with Clara fundraiser, with upcoming appearances in “The Nutcracker” and “Coppélia.”
Rebekah currently holds a 4.38 GPA and a composite ACT score of 29. After high school, Rebekah plans to attend Brigham Young University on a full-tuition scholarship, where she will study nursing/pre-medicine with a minor in ballet. Her long-term goal is to become a pediatric oncologist.
