The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s ACT BG Project Team will host the Amazing Race Bowling Green fundraiser on Friday, May 8. The event will kick off at 6:30 p.m., rain or shine, at Kenwood Elementary, 710 Kenwood Ave., Bowling Green. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dear Santa Society. Participants are asked to provide one non-perishable item to be donated to Brown Bag Food Project. The non-perishable item is tied to one of the challenges during the race.
Participants register as a team. The Amazing Race BG entry fee is $30 per person, and the full team fee must be paid before registration closes on May 7. Number of team members will be determined based on the number of people who can safely fit in one vehicle, in compliance with Ohio state laws. Teams are also encouraged to incorporate a “holiday theme” in the spirit of the Dear Santa Society.
The Amazing Race BG will challenge participants with puzzles and tasks scattered across Bowling Green. After the race, everyone is invited to join ACT BG and fellow racers at the Hideaway Bar, formerly known as Grumpy Dave’s, for an after-party celebration. The after-party event will include karaoke and prizes awarded for the top team, best dressed team, and best team name.
The 2026 presenting sponsor is Bowling Green Manor. Gas and Express Marts BG Marathon donated all gas card prizes.
ACT BG, Active – Community – Teamwork, is a project team of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce.
