It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandon Michael Lanning, who left us too soon on June 11, 2026, at the age of 28. He born on January 7, 1998 to Loren and Georgianna (Thomas) Lanning.
Brandon proudly graduated from North Baltimore High School in 2017. He impressively made his mark as a seated competitor at the State Track Meet earning 11 medals, becoming the most decorated athlete in his school’s history.
Continuing his educational journey, Brandon earned his associate’s degree in geology from Owens Community College. He had big dreams of becoming a meteorologist and inspired many with his widely followed weather page.
Brandon had a passion for sports, particularly NASCAR, drag racing, and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and Toledo Mudhens. For over 20 years, he played baseball for the Northwest Ohio Challengers and formed lifelong friendships along the way.
Brandon is survived by his loving parents, Georgianna and Loren Lanning; his sister, Chloe; and his cherished grandparents, Ray and Paula Thomas and Gary Lanning. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Jane Lanning.
Visitation for Brandon will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green. Burial will immediately follow at Beavercreek Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
