From WOOD COUNTY COMMITTEE ON AGING INC.
The Wood County Committee on Aging Inc. is currently scheduling its cholesterol screening clinics for July. Participants must be residents of Wood County and 25 years of age or older. The cost is $30. These screenings require an appointment and pretest instructions.
These screenings are in partnership with the Wood County Hospital. The screening includes: total cholesterol, HDL or “good” cholesterol, LDL or “bad” cholesterol, triglycerides, total cholesterol/HDL ration, and A1C – which shows how well someone has controlled their blood glucose over the past two to three months. Results will be immediately available and discussed with clients by a registered nurse or health educator.

Grand Rapids Area Senior Center
