Guadalupe Vargas, 84, of Monclova, OH, died May 9, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, OH. She was born in Sinton, TX November 2, 1931 to Cecilio and Josefa (Campos) Davila. Guadalupe worked in housekeeping at Vila West and The Anne Grady Center. She retired in 1993. She was a member at St. Richard Catholic Church in Swanton, OH. She is survived by her children, Rafael (Debra) Johnson, Stephen (Diane Lyons) Johnson, Elizabeth Vargas, Patricia Vargas, Daniel (Julie) Vargas, and Debra (William) Vargas-Whitzel, 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Pedro Vargas, daughters, Carolina and Valerie Johnson, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Whitehouse, OH with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church in Swanton, OH. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Richard Cemetery. Memorial donations can be given to St. Richard School.
