Everett William Cowles, Jr., 69, of Bowling Green, passed away on June 15, 2016. He was born on May 5, 1947 in Findlay, Ohio to Everett W. and Mary (Brown) Cowles, Sr. He married Cynthia Semler and she survives. Mr. Cowles was a financial advisor, former employee of Shell Oil, and headed up the Tire Division of Cooper Tire in Findlay for 15 years. He also was the former owner of Weston Poultry Farm. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1965 and BGSU in 1969. While growing up in Findlay he was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Youth Group. Since moving to Bowling Green he was a member of First United Methodist Church and was past president of the men’s group at the church. He was a former advisory board member of the United Christian Fellowship and the BGSU Falcon Club; past member of the Findlay and Maumee-Bowling Green Elk’s Clubs. He also was an Eagle Scout and member of the President’s Club at BGSU. He has been very involved with the Falcon football program for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed sailing and NASCAR. Everett was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole A. Cowles and his father and mother. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:00am at the Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green’s Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Pastor Tom Mellott will officiate followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8pm at the funeral home.
