Bowling Green Police responded to a call for a man passed out in a vehicle at the gas pumps at a station in the 1600 block of East Wooster Street, Saturday around 7 a.m.
Officers found Keith Wasson, 29, of St. Mary’s, sitting in the driver’s seat of a running car. He was cited for lacking physical control of a motor vehicle, having an open container of alcohol in the car, and was arrested for improper handling of a firearm while intoxicated.
When an officer asked if there was a gun in the car, Wasson reportedly pointed at his right hip and said he had a gun on him. Police confiscated the firearm, which had one round in the chamber and five in the magazine.
Wasson reportedly tested at 0.095 blood alcohol content. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
