A Bowling Green man was charged Thursday for domestic violence, aggravated menacing, disrupting public services and discharging a weapon in city limits.
Alex Kuhman, 31, turned himself in at the police station and was taken to Wood County Jail.
Bowling Green Police Division received a call shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday from a Tennessee man who said his daughter in BG had reportedly been involved in a domestic violence incident earlier in the morning. It was alleged that her boyfriend, Kuhman, had fired a gun during the incident.
Police responded to their home in the 400 block of South Main Street, and spoke with the woman, who said Kuhman allegedly pulled her out of bed, smashed her guitar on the floor, grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head on the floor several times. Police took photos of her reported injuries.
During the incident, after the woman said several times that she would call the police, Kuhman reportedly grabbed her cell phone from her and threw it to the ground. As she began packing her possessions to leave, Kuhman allegedly entered her room with a handgun. As she walked to the stairs, Kuhman allegedly shot into the hallway ceiling.
