The Northwestern Water and Sewer District has announced the start of construction on the Lime City Road waterline project in Perrysburg Township. Underground Utilities Inc., of Monroeville, is the prime contractor on this $2.2 million project.
Work will involve installing 9,000 feet of 12-inch waterline and 3,000 feet of storm sewer by the Wood County Engineer. A key feature of this project is the creation of a waterline loop in the area’s water distribution system. This enhancement will provide crucial redundancy, ensuring uninterrupted water service during maintenance or unforeseen disruptions. The new waterline will also improve fire protection capabilities along its route.
Effective Monday, Sept. 30, through January 2025, Lime City Road between U.S. 20 and Deimling Road will be closed for waterline and storm sewer installation. The detour will be Deimling Road to Crossroads Parkway to Route 20. Local access will be maintained.
Additionally, through June 2025, shoulder restrictions are possible on Lime City Road from Ohio 795 to Route 20 for waterline installation.
