Mackins are backing Perrysburg schools’ operating levy

We are voting yes for Perrysburg Schools. We moved to Perrysburg to raise our family, choosing this community for its strong sense of togetherness.

Last Friday’s football game reminded us of that bond. On a beautiful fall night, we came out to support the team. Although Perrysburg lost, the pride of being “Jackets” and the importance of the school system in making Perrysburg special was clear.

Perrysburg Schools have earned our support. Academically, they consistently receive top rankings. State studies and reports regularly recognize Perrysburg for providing excellent education. Throughout the school year, in newspapers, online, and on television, we see Perrysburg students giving back to the community and excelling in sports, music, drama, debate, and art.

That success requires highly qualified, dedicated teachers, coaches, and administrators. Their efforts helped prepare our children for college and for jobs that didn’t even exist when we moved here in 1990. Their experiences in the classroom, in clubs, on stage, and on athletic fields have equipped them for their next steps in life.

We are grateful that the community recognized the importance of supporting the schools before we moved here and while our children were in school. We strongly believe it is our duty to continue supporting the schools by ensuring they have the resources to provide a top-quality education to the families who follow in our footsteps.

Perrysburg is a special place and a wonderful community in which to raise a family. A key part of what makes it special is its exceptional schools. They need our support on November 5th. We urge you to invest in keeping Perrysburg special by voting in favor of the operating levy!
