Susie, the shepherd/hound mix, is still waiting at the Wood County Dog Shelter for a home.
“She is a complete sweetheart and over the shelter life,” said Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “She would really like to find a new home.”
Susie is scheduled to be spayed and vetted next week and “would love to recover with her forever family,” Harding said.
She is a 1-year-old, 40-pound mix, “who loves to talk,” Harding said. “She is still young and will need help with potty training and someone willing to get her zoomies/energy out. She is currently my office dog and loves to nap on the dog bed after a nice long walk.”
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
