A Bowling Green man with two outstanding warrants for theft was arrested Saturday (1/11) for two more counts of theft after he allegedly stole cold medicine from a store in the 1000 block of North Main Street.
Devin Brownlee, 32, was charged and taken to Wood County Jail.
Police were called to the store at 8:53 p.m., when Brownlee was noticed by employees who reportedly recognized him from previous thefts at the store.
Officers searched Brownlee and reportedly found several packets of unboxed red tablets in his pants pocket. Store staff was able to find camera footage of Brownlee reportedly taking two boxes of cold medicine, taking the pills out of the boxes, then hiding the empty boxes in another aisle.
While being arrested, Brownlee reportedly tried to pull away repeatedly from officers, then allegedly kicked the inside of the cruiser door.
Brownlee was arrested earlier this month when he reportedly was found at 3:23 a.m. walking down the middle of East Wooster Street during a snowstorm. When police tried to get him to get out of the roadway, he reportedly refused, and kicked at an officer. He was arrested for obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and walking in the roadway.
