“A Christmas for You,” led by BRAVE and Brookside Church, is a community driven effort to make the holidays a little easier for the local Bowling Green Community at Amherst Village.
The event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2-5 p.m.
The goal is to create a well-rounded opportunity for community members at Amherst to rest, relax, and re-power.
Organizers still need help from the community to make this event special. We are looking for donations of new clothes, toiletries, non-perishable food, and gifts for children. Donations can be made at BRAVEbg.org.
Anthony King, of BRAVE, said he grew up in a low income household, and knows how stressful the holidays can be for those with few resources.
Last year, the inaugural event serve about 70 families, he said. Organizers hope they can serve the 100 households at the housing complex.

“A Christmas for You” will offer:

- A Visit from Santa
