Adam Skaff appointed as deputy chief of BG Police Division

Mayor Mike Aspacher has appointed Adam Skaff as the Bowling Green Police Division’s next Deputy Chief.

Skaff started his career at the Police Division on Aug. 19, 2002.  Prior to his promotion to lieutenant in July of 2021, he served as a patrol sergeant for two years and a patrol officer for 17 years. Throughout his career at the division he has served in various capacities including as a field training officer, a detective, a property/evidence technician, and as an investigator with the Special Investigations Unit. Skaff holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Toledo.  

He currently serves as the public information officer for the Police Division and is assigned as the division’s community liaison. In addition, Skaff currently serves on the city’s Human Relations Commission and is a committee/board member for Welcome BG. 

Skaff has completed the Public Safety Leadership Academy at The Ohio State University, the Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) training and the Police Executive Leadership College through the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP).

He is a proud father and will be marrying his fiancé, Jorey, in July.
