Adult trick, treat and tours offered at historical center

The Friday Night Folklore Trick, Treat & Tour will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Wood County Historical Center & Museum, 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green.

Guests will set their own path around the Wood County Historical Center with story-stops inside the museum and across the grounds. The story stops will include Grimm’s Fairy Tales at the Log Cabin, Carnival Games in the Lunatic Asylum, Scarecrow Alley, 1920s Dancing & Slang in the Ice House, Carnival Sideshow, Zoltar Fortune Telling, Hall of Haunts Folklore Tales, the Mary Bach fingers, and a special feature from local magician and entertainer Eli Martin. Magic performances are limited to only five shows.

Tickets are $15 per adult with discounts for Wood County Historical Society members and student ID holders, and can be purchased by calling 419-352-0967 or visiting woodcountyhistory.org. Dress appropriately for weather, especially footwear and outerwear, and bring a flashlight.  The museum gift shop will be open.

The Wood County Historical Center & Museum will also host several Wood County Park District folklore events in October including a pumpkin contest and workshop on Oct. 18, and the annual free Folklore & Funfest on Oct. 20.
