The official recount of votes for seats on Bowling Green Board of Education show Tracy Hovest, Peggy Thompson and Howard “Ardy” Gonyer as the three winning candidates.
The automatic recount conducted Monday (Nov. 27) by the Wood County Board of Elections resulted in the same top three vote-getters for the school board race as on Nov. 20 when the provisional ballots and absentee ballots that arrived after Election Day were added in.
The top vote getter was still Hovest with 3,999 votes, followed by Thompson with 3,859, and Gonyer with 3,806 votes.
The recount was automatic because of the narrow margin between Gonyer’s 3,806 votes and Steve Bateson’s 3,782. The recount found no change in the candidates’ vote totals.
