Start your ovens. The Wood County District Public Library is holding its annual Holiday Bake-Off on Monday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Bowling Green library atrium. Participants may come and test their baked goods against other community members or leave the baking to others and partake in tasting all the holiday cookies.
This is Bowling Green’s biggest holiday cookie bake and taste. There is no entry free for bakers and no cost for tasters.
Bakers should arrive at 6:45 p.m. and bring cookies (either small cookies or cut into bite-sized pieces). Bakers can enter more than one recipe into the contest.
A first place and second place winner will be announced at the end of the Bake-Off, and winners will be awarded prizes.
Tasters simply need to come to the library to taste all the cookies. Each taster will be given five tickets to give to their favorite recipes.
Music will be provided by Hoehner Piano Studio, courtesy of Vicki Hoehner and Bethany Slembarski.
No registration is required. For more information, call 419-352-5050 or email woodref@wcdpl.org.
