Ansley Jade Baker, age 20, of New Albany, Ohio (formerly of Killbuck, Ohio), passed away unexpectedly from a rare brain hemorrhage, on May 29, 2019. She was born on September 8, 1998 to parents, Rebecca ‘Rebbie Baker’ Hill and Jamie Paull.
Ansley attended West Holmes Local Schools before transferring to New Albany Plain Local High School her Junior year and graduating in 2016. She was a senior at Bowling Green State University in the Tourism, Leisure and Event Planning program. She was planning on finishing her internship and graduate December 2019. Ansley worked at Creekside Event Center, in Gahanna, where she had started in high school as a banquet server working her way up to be an event planner.
She loved the outdoors as a child, learning how to fish, with her Barbie fishing rod, from her dad and Pappy. Her love of flowers came from her Papa Tim and Meme Judy. Ansley wasn’t the type to get dirty, however, she spent a lot of time with her fair pigs and leading cows on Grandma Mosher’s farm. She enjoyed being in front of the camera and she’d always be thinking of Instagram captions for those photos. She was a devoted Boston Bruins fan, with her favorite players to watch being Brad Marchand, Tuukka Rask, and Zdeno Chara. Ansley enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Ice and Smokey, along with her other furry friends, Bentley, Fenway and Indy. She will be joining her childhood dogs Sydney and Taylor, along with her best furry friend Cooper, who just recently passed away. As an avid enthusiast of the Franklin Park Conservatory, she spent her time there admiring the array of flowers and trying to land a butterfly on her hand. When she wasn’t busy with activities, she would love to watch conspiracy theories and murder mysteries on Youtube, and after she would then try to solve the unsolved case from the 90s, thinking she was a detective.
Ansley’s favorite foods included that of a child; bagels with loads of cream cheese, chicken tenders, pizza, french fries, Meme’s cheesy potatoes, Rice Krispie squares and little to no veggies or fruits, and always worried about what she would eat next. Getting her creativity from Meme Charlotte, she often enjoyed thinking of designs for houses and even played an app called Design Home, which entailed bringing a room together with furniture and receiving a rating from others playing the game. She loved to shop online as she didn’t have the patience to try clothes on in the stores. Her favorite stores included Brandy Melville, American Eagle, AandF, Forever 21, HandM and Free People, but even enjoyed cheap thrills from Goodwill. As any young lady in this age does, Ansley loved to listen to music and would rarely find her without headphones in, often listening to her favorites such as One Direction, Kacey Musgraves, and Taylor Swift.
Ansley will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered by her parents, Rebbie (Adam) Hill and Jamie (Kim) Paull; siblings Nadia and Arora, Malorie; step-siblings, Andrew, Spencer and Johnny, Makayla, Bronson and Rebecca; grandparents, Charlotte (Ron) Klein, Ruston (Claudia Rozuk) Baker, Tim and Judy Paull; great- grandparents, Rebecca Mosher, Lou Henri Baker; step-grandparents, Tom and Laurie Hill; boyfriend, and love of her life, Colin Ryan; aunts, Molly Baker, Leah (Jeremy) Frederick; step-aunt, Julie (greg) Barton; uncle, Andrew R. Baker; cousins, Maya, London, Victoria, Jackson and Jaden, and Reece, Rachel and Lucy; and many loving great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ansley was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Kenneth Mosher, L. Andrew Baker, Carl and Nancy Paull, Floyd and Dorothy Lee; and cousins, Jack and Cate Foyle, Mark Carrabine.
Family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Thursday June 6, 2019 at the New Albany Presbyterian Church, 5220 Johnstown Rd, New Albany, OH 43054; where a service, honoring Ansley’s life, will be held at 10am on Friday June 7, 2019.
