Anthony R. Mayo, known to many as Tony, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 54. Tony was born on October 31, 1969, and grew up in Cygnet, Ohio surrounded by family and friends.
Tony is the beloved son of Nancy Rose (Allgier) Mayo and the late William H. Mayo. He was the devoted father of Wade (Kelsie) Mayo and Mason Mayo, and the proud grandfather of Brody and Kyson. Tony shared a special bond with the mother of his children, Emily Roberts.
Tony was the cherished brother of Matthew (Shay) Mayo, Todd (Teresa) Mayo, Sharon Wise (Michael), and the late William R. Mayo, Mark A. Mayo, and Brian E. Mayo. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews and a friend to many.
A 1988 graduate of Elmwood High School, Tony worked in concrete construction, a field where he applied his strong work ethic and skill. In his free time, Tony enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, and spending evenings around a fire with those he loved.
Tony’s warmth, friendship, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on August 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Webster Township Cemetery, Pemberville, OH (Scotch Ridge Cemetery Road off of Ohio State Route 199).
