Art comes to Simpson Garden Park

The Bowling Green Arts Council and Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department will host the 11th annual Art in the Park on the grounds of Simpson Garden Park, 1291 Conneaut Avenue, on Friday, June 13 from 5-7 p.m.

The free, public event will feature live music, artists demonstrating their skills, and interactive art activities for children in a beautiful garden setting.  

As they stroll through the plants and flowers in Simpson Garden Park, attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy music by local musicians and music groups, including: Toraigh traditional Irish dance music; Senior Moments guitar group; the Root Cellar String Band; singer-songwriter it’s somewhat humanoid!; Grande Royale Ükulelists of the Black Swamp (GRÜBS); the Black Swamp Pluckers; and Kazenodaichi Taiko Japanese drummers.

The 12 visual artists featured will be: Linda Shetzer, Denise Carter, Greg Justus, Monica Birsen, Kelleigh Bossa, Patti Brinkman, Andrew Vogelpohl, Brynn Busalacchi, Connie DiPuccio, Naykishia D. D. Darby, Kala Nardecchia, and Jacqueline Hatcher.

Big Daddy’s Sausages & More food truck will be serving. 

In case of rain artist demonstrations and musical performances will be in the Simpson building. 

Parking is available at Wood County Hospital.
