From sushi rolls to hibachi, Bowling Green’s dining scene has a new spot offering some new flavors.

Kiseki, an Asian fusion restaurant located at 1616 E. Wooster St. brings together a mix of Japanese, Thai and Korean under one roof. The menu features sushi and hibachi, alongside pad thai, curry, and bulgogi.

Kiseki held a soft opening in October, using the time to train employees and settle into daily operations. Since then, it has been open to the public.

Owners Meirda and Eri Hafdini, originally from the Napoleon area, chose Bowling Green as home for their restaurant.

“Bowling Green is bigger and more lively, with a lot of young people,” Meirda said. “It’s more exciting for me.”

Kiseki is a family-run operation, with only a small staff managing the restaurant. In addition to overseeing renovations and employee logistics, Meirda and her husband handle most of the cooking themselves.

“We love food. Our happiness is expressed by food, and we just want to share the things that we like to people,” she said.

Inside, Kiseki offers a modern dining space with ample seating, along with a bar where sushi and alcoholic beverages are served. Meirda said affordability remains a priority.

“We don’t break the bank; our food is affordable,” Meirda said.

Beyond serving meals, she hopes Kiseki becomes a place where people gather and connect.

“I hope that people can enjoy the food as much as we do. We want to offer the place for the Bowling Green community to hang out with friends, to have business meetings, and to have dinner dates with their partner,” Meirda said.

Although Kiseki has been open for several months, the team will officially celebrate with a ribbon cutting ceremony in partnership with the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at Kiseki, 1616 E. Wooster St.

During the event, Meirda said the team will offer sushi samples, dine-in promotions, and “a free appetizer to welcome them.”

“We want to welcome everybody so they can enjoy the time, the place, and the food at our restaurant,” she said.

Kiseki is open daily, except Wednesdays, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dine-in and take-out options. Menus, hours, and more information are available on the restaurant’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/people/Kiseki-Restaurant/61577595316180/
