Aurelia M. Gallegos, 63, of Bowling Green and originally Hamler, OH passed away on December 12, 2018 after a hard battle with cancer. She was born on September 25, 1955 to the late Aurelio and Esperanza (Melchor) Esparza in Defiance, OH. She married Jesse M. Gallegos on August 3, 1974 and they were married for 36 years until he passed on December 23, 2010.
Aurelia is survived by her daughters: June (Shawn Matthews) Gallegos and Lisa (Chris) Siegel both of Bowling Green; a step-son: Jesse Gallegos Jr. of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Gavin, David, Tyler, Jessica & Payton; sisters: Janie, Lupe, Eva, Nena, Mary, and Josie; brothers: Tony and Charlie.
Aurelia was a 1974 graduate of Patrick Henry. She enjoyed baking, cooking and throwing holiday parties where she would do everything on her own. Aurelia loved going to the casino, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Aurelia will be on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 3:00 – 6:30 PM at the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory 1460 W. Wooster Street. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Aurelia’s grandsons, Gavin and David will perform a song followed by a Rosary at 6:30 PM.
