Beatrice Arlene Rister, 94, of Waterville, Ohio passed away February 1, 2017 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. She was born on October 27, 1922 to Guy and Pearl (Mastin) Strayer in Toledo. In 1941 she married Bernard Rister and he preceded her in death in 1976.
Beatrice was a nurse for many years at a nursing home in Maumee. She was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints over 50 years ago and was a member of the Bowling Green Ward.
Beatrice is survived by her children Bernard (Sandra) Rister Jr. , Patricia Rister, Mary Jo Bourzymouski, Janet Bingham and Sidney Rister, 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her son Dana Rister.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday February 9, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, Ohio. Services will be at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be 11am Friday at the Wakeman Cemetery in Waterville.
