Behavioral Health Art Show displays strength, resilience and creativity of local artists

Artwork by Sarah Berendt, Stephanie Alysse and Nichole Alley

More than 100 pieces of artwork will be on display Friday, May 9, for the Resiliency through Art: Behavioral Health Art Show.

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in May, the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services will host the 2nd annual art show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wood County Museum, 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green.

The exhibit offers a powerful collection of artwork created by individuals living with behavioral health diagnoses as well as their loved ones. The artwork on display celebrates the strength, resilience and creativity of those impacted by mental health and substance use challenges, and offers a glimpse into their personal journeys through expressive, meaningful art.
