Betty J. Bockbrader, age 94, of North Baltimore, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Heritage Health Care in Bowling Green. She was born on June 26, 1930, in Wayne to the late Warren M. & Edna B. (Shaffer) Reynolds.
Surviving Betty are her children, Hugh Bockbrader of North Baltimore, Judy (Charlie Aurand) Rosendale of Wayne, Jana (Doug) Miller of Pemberville; grandchildren, Kristin (Joe) Tillison, Kyle (Brooke) Rosendale, Chad Miller, Craig Miller, Crystal (Liz) Miller; great-grandchildren, Elsie, Emmie, Camden, Karly, Jarret & Phoenix; sister-in-law, Nancy Reynolds of Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Edna, and brother, Ray Reynolds.
Betty was a 1948 graduate of Montgomery High School, and then worked as a school bus driver for 32+ years at Elmwood Local Schools. She also worked at Penta Schools in the Kitchen/Cafeteria and was a member of Mt. Zion United Brethren Church for 80+ years where she also taught Sunday School for over 30 years. Betty was also a former Cygnet PTO President and Vice President, former Farm Council Treasurer, a member of the Country Royals Child Conservation League, and a 4H Advisor for 17 years and a former Director of the Ohio Women’s Polled Hereford Association. Betty’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the people at Heritage Health Care for the great care given to their mother during her stay.
Friends will be received from 2:00 – 2:30 PM Tuesday (October 15, 2024) at Graham Cemetery near Wayne, Ohio where there will be a Celebration of Life Service at Graham Cemetery starting at 2:30 PM Tuesday with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating. The family has asked for everyone who may be attending to please dress casual. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.
